OUR CAPABILITIES

Capabilities you can count on

Gloved hands in a cleanroom suit test a circuit board with a multimeter probe.

PCB ASSEMBLY

August Electronics supports SMT and through-hole assembly for high-reliability electronics. Assemblies can be manufactured to IPC-A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 workmanship requirements when specified, with automated inspection technologies used to monitor the build.

CABLE AND WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLY

We coordinate cable and wire harness assembly alongside PCB manufacturing and system integration. Keeping these capabilities with the same manufacturing partner reduces handoffs and maintains continuity in the manufacturing process.

BOX BUILD, SYSTEM INTEGRATION, AND TESTING

We can integrate PCBs, cables, harnesses, and other components into complete box builds and electromechanical systems. Functional and customer-specific testing can also be incorporated into the manufacturing process based on program requirements.

PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

August Electronics manages component procurement for turnkey programs and supports customer-supplied materials for consigned and partially consigned work. The team also actively tracks lifecycle risks and material supply to support longer product lifecycles.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

PROGRAM SCOPING AND QUOTING

August Electronics reviews your program requirements, expected volumes, material approach, and testing and traceability needs. We evaluate component availability and lead times alongside manufacturing and applicable NRE costs. Your quote reflects the scope and assumptions known at that stage and can be refined as requirements change.

DOCUMENTATION REVIEW AND NPI SUPPORT

We review your build package to confirm requirements and flag documentation or manufacturability risks. During NPI and early builds, we create controlled production documentation and integrate your test procedures. We also manage revisions and changes, helping move your product into consistent, repeatable manufacturing.

SOURCE AND PREPARE MATERIALS

August Electronics coordinates component procurement and the associated supply chain for turnkey programs. We also support consigned and partially consigned programs where customers retain control of specific components or materials.

ASSEMBLY AND INTEGRATION

We manufacture your assemblies using SMT and through-hole processes, then bring PCBs, cables, harnesses, and other military electronic parts into the box build and electromechanical integration.

INSPECTION AND TESTING

Our inspection and testing process is integrated throughout production. August Electronics uses in-line SPI and AOI during SMT assembly, with 3D AOI after reflow. X-ray, functional, dielectric, and other acceptance testing can be incorporated as defined by your program requirements.

CONTROLLED GOODS AND JCP CREDENTIALS

August Electronics is registered with Canada’s Controlled Goods Program and certified under the Joint Certification Program, supporting programs that require controlled access, traceability, and disciplined handling of applicable technical data and controlled goods.

Finding and fixing issues before they cost you

We build to your approved documentation. When a deviation or change is needed, it goes through a controlled process, a Temporary Deviation Notice (TDN) or Engineering Change (EC), with each change documented and approved before release.

If an issue is found during production, the affected product is isolated and documented while we work with your team to determine the cause and corrective action. Inspection and testing are matched to your program requirements and may include SPI, 3D AOI, X-ray, functional testing, and dielectric testing.
