Tanya Korenda
Chief Executive Officer
Tanya began her electronics manufacturing career on the production floor assembling boards for a railway electronics company.
She worked her way through a variety of departments, moving up to Master Scheduler and eventually, Production Manager. After 13 years, the manufacturer moved its operations to the United States, and Tanya looked for new opportunities. From 2003, she was the operator of a flagship Husky Energy retail site, before starting at August Electronics in 2007. Over the past decade, Tanya has been instrumental in helping August grow and refine their operating practices while building a team of talented production and office personnel. With over 20 years in the electronics manufacturing industry, Tanya understands how to manage and scale a successful business. Her experience and dedication will guide August’s future growth and operational success. Tanya is also a devoted mother, loves outdoor activities with her family and watching her son play lacrosse.
Jack Francis
Co-Founder, President
As President and co-founder of August Electronics, Jack has been integral to the company’s success since its inception in 1991.
Including his time at August, Jack has over 30 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. Through his involvement in sales, business development, implementing value-driven processes and consistently making fair and honest decisions, Jack has helped position August as a superior electronics manufacturer. Today, he supports Peter and Tanya in developing and implementing their strategic operational framework, planning activities and working with like-minded clients. Jack’s other interests include refining his CAD skills as well as spending time in his hobby machine shop. He also enjoys quality time spent with his wife, kids and grandkids.
Peter Wilson
Co-Founder
Co-founded August in 1991 with Jack Francis, originally focusing on product development, internal software systems, and the technical aspects of running the business.
Today, he collaborates with Tanya and Jack – planning and implementing company infrastructure, operational strategies and developing the tools for continuous improvement. His degree in electrical engineering, along career experience in oil exploration, instrumentation design, and software development bring an invaluable and unique skillset to August. Outside of work, Peter enjoys family activities, “s” sports such as skiing, scuba and squash (and sailing – he navigated Canada’s 1983 America’s Cup entry), a casual round of golf, and the occasional woodworking project.
