At August Electronics, we believe in giving back to our community in creative and impactful ways. This time, five members of our dedicated management team took the plunge – quite literally – to support a fantastic local organization, Discovery House Family Violence Prevention Society!

With great enthusiasm and a splash of courage, our management team volunteered to be dropped into a dunk tank, all in the spirit of contributing to a cause close to our hearts. ???? Discovery House’s mission to end the traumatic cycle of domestic violence for women and girls resonates deeply with us, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of their journey toward positive change.

But that’s not all – our amazing August Electronics family stepped up to the plate (or tank) by contributing generously, making each dunk a meaningful contribution to Discovery House’s initiatives. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that our community spirit goes well beyond our manufacturing floors and into the lives of those who need it.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported our dunk tank event – from our leaders who braved the cold water, to the 90+ individuals who donated to this worthy cause. Your support is what makes these community efforts possible and truly impactful.

Discovery House provides transitional housing and care to families with children leaving domestic violence. We give women and children longer-term, safe places to call home while they rebuild their lives. Mothers receive counselling, support, and programs to ensure they can build a better future for themselves and their children.
